This authentic Chai Latte recipe comes from famed Indian restaurant, Botiwalla in Atlanta. Ingredients
  • 1- inch piece of fresh ginger peeled
  • 5 green cardamom pods
  • 1.25 cups filtered water
  • 3 heaping teaspoons loose black Indian tea I recommend Waagh Bakri
  • 3/4 cup organic whole milk I recommend Organic Valley Grassmilk
  • 2 tablespoons Vital Proteins Vanilla Collagen Peptides
  • 1 tablespoon organic coconut sugar
Instructions
  1. To a medium saucepan, add fresh ginger and cardamom pods. Smash well. Add 1.25 cups of water. Bring to a boil.
  2. Add black tea. Let boil for 30 seconds.
  3. Add milk and bring to a boil, watching closely so as not to overflow. As soon as the mixture starts rising, cut the heat.
  4. Let the mixture settle and bring to a second boil, watching closely so as not to overflow. As soon as the mixture starts rising, cut the heat.
  5. Let the mixture settle and bring to a third boil, watching closely so as not to overflow. As soon as the mixture starts rising, cut the heat.
  6. Add collagen peptides and sugar and stir until dissolved.

  7. Pour mixture into two mugs, using a strainer to ensure no tea, ginger or spices get mixed in. Serve and enjoy!
