With so many smoothie delivery services available, it can be hard to know which you should choose and if it’s really worth it! Here, you can read my honest review of today’s top 7 healthy smoothie subscriptions. I break down the pros, cons, and costs of each one.

7 healthy, real food smoothie delivery services you need to try!

When I started drinking a healthy green smoothie every day a few years ago, I lost weight, my inflammation went down dramatically (which meant my hormones balanced and my digestion improved) and I felt so much more energized.

Note that I was making real food smoothies with whole foods like fruits and veggies (usually organic), and no added sugars; I sweeten my smoothies naturally with real food like bananas and dates. You do NOT want a sugar bomb first thing in the morning (or any time of day, for that matter!).

Even though I'm a HUGE homemade green smoothie lover (I even wrote an ebook about it!), sometimes convenience is king.

Let’s face it, mornings can be hard… not enough sleep, seemingly never enough time, and too many things to do right after waking.

If you're ready to add in more of the good into your diet and really support your health in a super easy and delicious way, I have just the thing.

Easy + convenient smoothie delivery!

Instead of having to buy a bunch of ingredients, wash and chop and measure them out, and meal plan in advance, smoothie delivery services are a quick and healthy breakfast alternative that shows up right to your door, saving you time with ready-to-blend smoothie pouches or bottles that are ready in just 60 seconds!

Just add liquid of choice and you're done… no more rotting food in the fridge or going for some berries, only to find them moldy.

Read on to simplify your morning routine with a breakfast that’s perfect on the go, and helps you make a healthy choice that tastes great!

The Best Blender to Use

But first: in order to easily blend smoothies with perfection, you're going to need a high-speed blender for best results. When you have a massive block of frozen fruit and veggies, cheap blenders just aren't going to cut it (literally!).

My blender of choice is the Vitamix. A rare day it is that I don’t use this miraculous machine.

Superfood Pumpkin Pie Green Smoothie

Not only perfect for blending fiber-rich smoothies into the smoothest, creamiest drinks, but I also make homemade lattes and all kinds of delicious drinks (hello, Superfood Frose), plus soups, sauces, food prep, and grinding coffee.

Yes, the Vitamix does cost a pretty penny; however, you can look at Certified Reconditioned models for a more affordable option (rest assured, they come with a 5-year warranty and a No Risk Guarantee on every Certified Reconditioned blender), or take advantage of their three- or five-month interest-free payment plans.

Alright, now that you've got your blender at the ready, let's check out the seven best smoothie delivery companies.

1) SmoothieBox

SmoothieBox's super smoothies are packed with the balanced macronutrients you need to fuel your busy day: a full serving of organic fruits and vegetables, healthy fats, and grass-fed collagen protein (20-28 grams of protein per smoothie), with no added sugar or fillers (less than 20 grams of sugar per smoothie).

I love how it already includes a full serving of collagen to helps enhance your digestion, skin, hair, and joints; it's truly my fave supplement… y'all know I put it in everything! (What's collagen? Check out our guide here!)

Each box comes with 20 ready-to-blend frozen smoothie pouches (makes a 16-ounce smoothie) and you can choose from three delicious flavors: creamy cocoa, tangy green, and ginger-y clementine, with a new berry flavor launching soon!

My favorite: Ginger-y clementine

2) Frozen Garden

I love how The Frozen Garden is committed to the real food movement and supporting real food farmers. Their distinct smoothie flavors are handcrafted using 100% whole fruits, vegetables, seeds and spices.

Based in the midwest, they source everything they can (besides tropical fruits) from local farmers, often receiving their greens within a day of harvest. That means they can blast freeze those greens ASAP to retain maximum nutrients, which equals more green smoothie nutrition for you!

All of The Frozen Garden's smoothies are Non-GMO Project Verified, and they use Certified Organic for any ingredient on the EWG's Dirty Dozen™ list that are not available locally. Plus, their pouches are BPA-free and can be recycled in most residential recycling programs.

Each pouch makes one 20-ounce smoothie when blended.

My favorite: Rollin' Oats and Berry Choco-Latte

Subscription? No, but minimum purchase is $35, or get half off shipping for orders more than $75, and free shipping for orders more than $125–order here! Frozen Garden is also available at select grocery retailers.

They make healthy eating easy with pre-portioned cups that you just have to pop in your freezer and then, when you’re ready to eat, they’re ready in 30 seconds. Just add liquid and blend, soak or heat on your schedule. No prep, no mess!

Plus, their ingredients are always picked at peak maturity, then flash frozen to maintain farm-fresh nutrient density and flavor–all without using preservatives or adding sugar. This means that these cups aren’t just convenient and beyond tasty, but are ultra healthy and nutritious!

My favorite: Pineapple Matcha Smoothie

Subscription? Yes–handpick any combination of eats you want in your choice of a monthly 24-cup plan, or a weekly 9, 12 or 24-cup plan.

Everipe freeze dried fruit smoothie ingredients

4) Everipe

Everipe uses 100% plant-based and organic ingredients, right down to the spices, seeds and nuts, with zero added sugars or preservatives.

They use a unique process of freeze drying, a natural process that maintains more nutrients than freezing or drying; freeze drying also helps reduce food waste (did you know Americans toss one pound per person, per day of food?!).

Because the fruit is freeze-dried, their pouches are shelf stable–wonderfully convenient for traveling and not taking up valuable freezer space! The pouches are also lightweight and require minimal outer packaging, thus avoiding the heavy carbon footprint of many food delivery programs that require tons of added packaging.

Every recipe was created by a holistic nutritionist who is also a chef, resulting in four delicious flavors: Greens With Envy, Piña Colossal, Unbelievaberry, and Ripe Rebound. Simply add 1 cup water + 1 cup ice (I actually add 2 cups to make sure it's cold and slushy enough) + 90 seconds in the blender and you're superfood sipping!

My favorite: Pina Colossal tastes just like a Pina Colada

Subscription? Optional; choose between a one-time purchase or subscribe (choose weekly, bi-weekly or monthly in multiples of six and cancel anytime) and save 7.5% on every order–order here!

Cost: $39.99 for a 6-pack ($6.66/smoothie) or $13.98 for a 2-pack ($6.99/smoothies), and get free shipping

SmartFruit Smoothie Concentrate being poured into a glass

5) SmartFruit™

SmartFruit™ is an all natural 100% real fruit concentrate mix with no GMOs, artificial colors, flavors, or additives, but instead boosted with highly functional superfoods and nutrients like omega-3s, antioxidants, electrolytes, detoxifiers and other goodies.

Blend SmartFruit™ with ice to make a smoothie (4-ounces of juice to 16-ounces of ice + 3-4-ounces of water), mix it with water to make juice, top it on treats, or shake it to make a cocktail–there are so many possibilities!

One bottle of SmartFruit is 48-ounces, which means it's the equivalent of 12 smoothies or 30 cups of juice! Plus their BPA-free bottles are shelf stable up to 18 months (good news for freezer space!).

They have so many fun flavors like Tropical Harmony + Aloe, and Watermelon + Electrolytes, and Aloha Pineapple + Prebiotic (all their products are vegan).

My favorite: Harvest Greens

Subscription? No

Cost: $24.99/bottle ($2.08/smoothie) + free shipping over two bottles on their website–order here!

Raw Generation Cashew Smoothies

6) Raw Generation

Raw Generation products are 100% raw and cold-pressed. These non-GMO and vegan smoothies (which are really more like fresh nut milks in texture than a smoothie) come ready to go in 12-ounce containers, no blending required!

Their smoothies are filled with healthy carbohydrates, brain-boosting fats, and clean plant-based protein that's easy to digest (read: less bloat and more energy!). Choose a pack specifically designed for post-workout muscle recovery, or for vitality and vibrance, or to focus on getting toned and trimmed.

All the flavors are decadent, so go ahead and treat your sweet tooth without the guilt!

If you're a juice person, they also have incredible raw juices, perfect for a cleanse or as a healthier cocktail mixer.

Raw Generation never uses HPP (High Pressure Processing), meaning the juices and smoothies aren't pasteurized and retain their natural healthy bacterias.

My favorites: Cashew Smoothie (make an amazing iced coffee, too!)

Subscription? Optional; you can subscribe & save 10% with customized delivery frequency (anywhere from 1 week to 12 weeks)

Cost: $200 for a pack of 18 smoothies or juices ($11.11/smoothie, but lookout for sales!)–and get 10% off your first order with the code RootRevel10–order here!

Woman drinking a green Philosophie smoothie out of a straw

7) Philosophie

Okay, techinically this isn't a smoothie delivery company, BUT I've been drinking smoothies made with Philosophie's Superfood Powders for years and just love them so much that I had to include them here!

They're 100% organic, raw, vegan, and fair-trade, plus free of all additives and fillers, sugar, stevia, soy, gluten, and nuts.

These powders actually nourish the body with whole, live, nutrient-rich foods, and Philosophie offers cleanses too if you're ready for a detox and reset. I just can't get enough of these delicious nutritional boosts in my smoothies, or sprinkled on my oatmeal, fruit + nut butter + yogurt, or mixed into batter for pancakes or muffins.

Choose from three dreamy flavors: Cacao Magic, Green Dream or Berry Bliss

My favorite: I could never decide–I usually make smoothies with both Green Dream AND Berry Bliss to maximize nutrients 😉

  1. Hi, first thank you for trying all these and giving your in-depth review!
I’d like to ask you a silly question, but necessary question.
How did these smoothie packs fit in your freezer? I imagine you did not order them all at once, but still, I can’t imagine having space for 18 Raw bottles, or Daily Harvest’s 24 cup plan!
Any tips or insight you have would be wonderful

  2. This is great! Thank you for reviewing these. I learned of some new ones I’ll have to check out. Do you have any thoughts on the company Revive?
