Breakfast and Brunch
Breakfast and brunch are both delicious options for a morning meal. By combining the two into one, you can be sure to have a better time of getting through your breakfast.
If you love eating breakfast foods such as pancakes or French toast, you can enjoy them in the morning with some eggs and bacon. Or if you prefer to start your day with a lighter meal, like oatmeal and fruit, then brunch is the way to go. It’s important to keep in mind that it might take about 15-30 minutes for your stomach to tell your brain that it’s full so make sure to give yourself enough time to eat! Also, don’t forget the importance of water: it will help keep your digestive system healthy as well as rehydrate your body. Recipes for healthy breakfast
Eggs benedict
Ingredients:
- 2 to 3 eggs
- 2 English muffins (toasted)
- 1 slice of ham (toasted)
- 1 tablespoon of hollandaise sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Poach the eggs in water until they are completely cooked. The egg should have a solid white, but a runny yolk. Don't overcook the eggs or you'll end up with hard, dry eggs. Remove them from the boiling water and set them aside.
2. Toast your English muffins and ham slices. Add the hollandaise sauce on top of the ham for added flavour and then place one poached egg on each muffin half, followed by another piece of ham. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving! This is such a creative spin on an old favorite! Serve these at brunch for some great breakfast ideas!
