Winter is upon us, which means soup for every meal is totally acceptable – right?! I am not above eating soup for breakfast, as shown here.

Soup is one of my favorite things to make. It’s so nourishing, warming and – when made with clean, real food – is a nutrient-packed, healthy meal that’s beyond easy to make.

Plus, you can always double a recipe and then have soup for days! The flavors develop as it sits and really, what’s better than leftovers that you just have to heat up on the stove?

You can also freeze soups in individually sized portions so that it’s ready for backup when you’re in a pinch and need some good homemade food to save the day come dinner time.

  6. Yes to eating soups for breakfast! I remember there was a restaurant I worked at years ago, where every morning I’d eat the leftover soup from the day before for breakfast. Not only that, but I’d eat it cold and no one wanted to be around me because they were so appalled. Haha, oh well. More soup for me. This is a fantastic list of soups! There’s no reason to be cold this winter when you have this list.

    • LOL! I love cold leftovers too. And yes, soup for breakfast is so underrated! But actually really common in other parts of the world like Thailand – I loved eating soup for breakfast everyday when I was visiting there.:)
