Healthy Cast Iron Skillet One Pot Meals
Need some easy and healthy cooking inspiration, without spending hours in the kitchen? Check out this collection of one pot meals made in your cast iron skillet, and get dinner on the table in no time!
I’m so excited for this recipe roundup because it combines two of my favorite things–easy, one pot meals + my trusty cast iron skillet!
The ‘one pot meal’ trend has taken on a life of its own, with this theme popping up all over Pinterest, magazines and blogs. And for good reason.
Because seriously, who doesn’t love simple cooking and easy cleanups? While the meal is simmering or baking, it gives you more time to take care of other needs, whether that be helping your kids with their homework, packing your lunch for the next day, or simply sitting back and enjoying a nice glass a wine. (Yep, I totally fall into that last category. ????)
Why a cast iron skillet? Cast iron skillets have been around forever. They’re a reliable tool that delivers a ton of flavor, and are perfect for searing, crisping, frying and–you guessed it!–one pot meals.
I love that you can transfer them from the stove to the oven, and the more you use them, the more seasoned the skillet gets and the more delicious your food will be!
Let’s dive in so you can get to cooking and start saving time in the kitchen!
